Marjorie Jean Copp Ellison, age 79, of Greenfield, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on April 13, 2011. She was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Terre Haute, Ind. to the late, Harry and Edith Copp.
Marjorie married Paul “Rocky” Ellison, who preceded her in death. They were married for 42 years and had eight children.
Marjorie is survived by sons, Mark and Bill (Theresa); daughters, Connie, Paula, Edie (Jim), Cindy (Chuck), and Judy (Bret); 8 grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Longfellow; five brothers, Tom, Dick, Dave, Bus, and Johnny; and a sister, Joann.
She enjoyed slot machines, bingo, poker games, and family gatherings. She retired from Kroger in 1984.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 911 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46240.
