Lillie F. (Johnson) Wilkins, age 93, of New Palestine, passed away April 11, 2011, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Born on March 6, 1918, in Louisville, Ill., she was the daughter of Harry and Rubel (Blair) Johnson. She married Russell J. Wilkins on April 21, 1946, in Effingham, Ill.
Lillie was a secretary for Sears Service Center for 15 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of Community Christian Church in New Palestine, Order of Eastern Star, and Moose Lodge #213.
Surviving her are her daughters, Marcia (Steve) Orr of New Palestine, Rita (Jerry) Schilling of Greenfield, and Dixie (Carol Goodwin) Wilkins of New Palestine; son, Danny Wilkins of Fishers; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Wilkins in 1989; parents, Harry and Rubel Johnson; brothers, Marvin Johnson and Richard Johnson; sisters, Floy Brown, Doris Peters, and Lois Cooper.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the mortuary. Reverend Todd Beale will officiate. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
