Mary M. (Pipes) Tilson
Mary M. (Pipes) Tilson, age 68, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Community Hospital East. Born on June 12, 1942, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Floyd and Rosemary (Hansaum) Pipes.
Mary graduated from Arsenal Tech High School and married Jack L. Tilson on March 8, 1980. She worked for Lucent Technology in Indianapolis for 30 years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of Community Christian Church in New Palestine and volunteered at the Hope House in Greenfield.
Surviving her are her husband, Jack L .Tilson of Greenfield; sons, Terry Cavin of New Palestine, and Mark (Deb) Cavin of New Palestine; daughter, Dina (Ron) Gill of Indianapolis; and 5 grandchildren, Aaron, Brandon, Jake, Alexa and Corey.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Patty; and brothers, Don and Floyd Jr.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, also at the mortuary. Pastor Todd Beale will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
