Barbara M. (Stant) Garner, age 85, died Friday, April 8, 2011, at Ellison House in Greenfield. Born on June 3, 1925, in Hancock County, she was the daughter of Delmar and Freda (Claffey) Stant.
Surviving her are her sons, Ronald (Linda) Garner of Greenfield, Michael (Phyllis) Garner of McCordsville, and Billy (Dayce) Garner of Texas; daughters, Judy Brown of Anderson, and Brenda (Doug) Thompson of Indianapolis; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her husband, William L. Garner; parents; daughter, Marcia Ziegler, and infant daughter, Sandra Garner; sisters, Edna Evans, and Maxine Whetsel; and brother, Leon Stant.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011, also at the mortuary. Reverend Ernest Garner will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
