Beverly J. Swafford, age 73, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Born on June 18, 1937, in Greenfield, she was the daughter of Harlan Andrew and Edna (Sweezy) Roberts. Beverly married Billy M. Swafford on July 30, 1955, in Greenfield. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved traveling and dining out.
Surviving her are her husband, Billy M. Swafford of Greenfield; children, Billy M. Swafford, Jr., Kathy (Rex) Hulen, Jackie Logan, and Edward “Corky” Foster, all of Greenfield; siblings, Charles Roberts, Thelma Middleton, Helen Brooks, Ethel Harschman, Jack Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, David Roberts, Marcia Scott, Linda Hornaday, and Andy Macy; grandchildren, Adrian, Amber, Jennifer, Angela, Misty, and Jessica; and ten great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Wendell and Tommy Roberts.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 1, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
