Roy A. Stevens, age 57, of Carthage, passed away on March 17, 2011. Born on Feb. 18, 1954, in New Castle, he was the son of John and Beulah (Whitfield) Stevens.
Mr. Stevens graduated from Knightstown High School in 1972 and worked in the automotive industry. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, riding motorcycles, collecting guns, and photography. He was also a big IU Basketball fan who loved Andy Griffith, trains, sports, and vintage cars.
Surviving him are his children, Michelle Morrow of Fishers, Cris Barkowski of Bentonville, Ark., and Rachel (James) Jahrsdoerfer of Greenfield; sister, Carol Snyder of Brownsburg; and grandchildren, Sonja and Alex Jahrsdoerfer.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister, Verna Dale Miller.
Visitation will take place from 3 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A Service to celebrate his life will follow at 5 p.m. at the mortuary.
