Robert L. “Bob” Priest

Robert L. “Bob” Priest, age 77, of Beech Grove, passed away March 9, 2011. He was born on August 2, 1933, in Indianapolis to the late J. Virgil and Fay A. Wall Priest.

Bob graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, class of 1951 and then served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for Wayne Burial Vault Co. for 37 years, retiring in 1997 as secretary-treasurer. He also served as secretary-treasurer for Indiana Burial Vault Association and was a member of the Allied Memorial Council. Bob was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and American Legion Post #777. He was an avid “Jeff Gordon” fan and loved his collection of trains.

Bob is survived by his wife, Constance J. Priest; children, David L. (Shari) Priest, Julie A. (Michael) Young and Darin L. (Melisa) Priest; step-children, Linda M. (Harry) Mason, Denise L. Holden, Danny D. Feeley and Ronald D. (Sherry) Feeley; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith A. Priest; and sister, Shirley A. Poole.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2011, until the time of service at 7 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Rd.
