John R. “Johnny Red” Allen, age 35, of Indianapolis, died on Saturday, March 5, 2011. Born on Sept. 23, 1973, in Indianapolis, he was the son of John Oscar and Deanna Faye Allen. Mr. Allen worked in the lawn care business.
Surviving him are his brothers, William Funk and Eric Funk, both of Union City; sisters, Ceresa Boals and Jackie Pancake of Indianapolis, Lucy Allen of Greenwood, Connie Bair of Winamac, and Lisa Foy of Atlanta, Ga. Preceding him in death was his father, John Oscar Allen.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Mortuary with a calling from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East in Indianapolis.
