Marty Linn Mohr, 65, passed away on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011. He was born in Indianapolis on Apr. 10,1945. He was the son of Mary Doris (White) Ries and George E. Ries.

Marty graduated from Warren-Central High School in 1964 and attended Sam's Technical Institute right after high school. He went on to become an iron worker for Local 22. He was very good at his job and put in handrails all over the country as well as overseas. Marty retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked as a millwright. He loved fishing, cooking, animals, giving to others, trying new foods, socializing, and working in his backyard. His clever resourcefulness was shown through his impact at work and at home through many repairs and projects he partook in over the years. He attended Indian Creek Christian Church.

His generosity, strength, and lively personality will be remembered and missed forever. Marty also belonged to New Palestine American Legion, Greenfield Moose Lodge and Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Mohr; son, Michael Mohr; granddaughter, Harper Mohr; brothers, Jimmy Joe Mohr, Terry Mohr; sister-in-law, Jane Mohr; brother-in-laws, Michael Harrison, Phil Rehl.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Pamela Kay Mohr; both parents; and sister-in-law, Robin Robinson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Leukemia Society and the National Kidney Foundation. The calling will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 16, 2011 at Hendryx Mortuary, 11636 E. Washington St. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday Feb. 17, 2011 with a one -hour calling prior.
