Pattee L. Yater, 71, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at her home surrounded by family. She was born July 10, 1939, in Greenfield to the late James E. and Helen E. “Pat” (Reece) Souder.
Pattee was a graduate of Hancock Central, a homemaker, member of Curry’s Chapel, O.E.S., Tri-Kappa, 4-H, past member of the Greenfield Country Club, National and Indiana Association of Charolais Breeders and hair dresser.
She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth A. “Liz” Anderson of Greenfield, and Jennifer J. “Jenny” Yater of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Jessica, Brianna, and Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Adrianna, Ava; and sister, Loretta R. Pope.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David G. Yater, 1999; son, David J. “Sam” Yater, 2004.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
