Opal (Nigh) Thompson, 108, of Morristown, formerly of Fairland, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Morristown Manor in Morristown. She was born July 14, 1902, in Shelby County, to the late Thomas and Gertrude Nigh.
She is survived by her niece, Janet Smith Drake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warnie A. Thompson; sisters, Grace Dowling and Minnie Elliot; and brother, Carl Kabrick.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Hendryx Mortuary, 19 E. Main St., New Palestine, IN 46163. Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the mortuary. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
