Ruth Nickson, 55, a resident of Muncie, formerly of Greenfield, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Liberty Village in Muncie. She was born Dec. 26, 1954, in Greenfield, and was the daughter of the late Vernon and Pearl (Bowles) Nickson.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Carl) McWhirter, III of Greenfield; and son, Johnny E. Stewart, Jr. of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; and her sister, Goldie Cooper of Winchester, Va.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at Brandywine Community Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield.
