Lundy Eugene Harvey, 90, of Anderson, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, after a brief illness. He was born July 18, 1920, in Hancock County, to the late John Thomas and Maude Mae (Burris) Harvey.
He is survived by his children, Ronnie (Luisa) Harvey of St. Petersburg, Fla., Vivian Atkins of Anderson, Glen (Jan) Howard of Pendleton and Regina (Dwaine) Jackson of Pendleton; sister, June (Glen) Habegger of Anderson; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded by his wife, Irene (Matlock) Harvey; daughter, Judy McCardle; siblings, Esther Hogan, Ruth Harmon, Lois Jean McHatton, Wesley Harvey and Marilyn Scott; son-in-law, Dale Adkins; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at the funeral home, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jim Lyon and Rev. Gerald Burnett will officiate. Burial will be in Harlan Cemetery-Wilkinson. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW #266.
