Harold Louis Schreiber, 84, Indianapolis, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010. He was born Aug. 9, 1926.
He was a graduate of Warren Central High School, class of 1944. Mr. Schreiber was founder of Cumberland Lumber Co./Schreiber Lumber Co. of Indianapolis and Greensburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII. Mr Schreiber was a member of Masonic Lodge, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite and was an avid pilot and fisherman.
Survivors include his sons, Roy Schreiber, Ray (Carol) Schreiber, Hans Schreiber; step-son, Scott Murphy; four grandchildren, Dustin Schreiber, Amy (Clay) Roan, Dana (Nick) Brownfield, Ben Schreiber; two great grandchildren, Isabella Brownfield and Brock Brownfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Louis Schreiber and Clara Hach Schreiber; and sister, Romelda Turley.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, in Hendryx Mortuary, 11636 E. Washington St., with visitation there from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
