Edward C. Caudill

Edward C. Caudill, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Regency Place of Greenfield. Born on Feb.13, 1929, in Maysville, Ky., he was the son of Gilbert and Mamie (Hurst) Caudill.

Edward married Norma McFee in 1953 in Richmond. He had previously worked at Senco Corp. in Indianapolis for about 20 years and had most recently worked at Duo-Fast Corporation for about 14 years before retiring in 1992. Ed loved woodworking, everyday activities on their farm, and spending time with the family dog. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and always enjoyed a good joke. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles many years ago. Ed was a veteran of the United States Army who served during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving him are his wife, Norma Caudill of Greenfield; sons, Dave (Lynn) Caudill of Greenfield and Rod (Sue) Caudill of Elizabethtown; several sisters and brothers throughout the Midwest including, Charles (Connie) Caudill of New Palestine and Lovell (Jeanne) Caudill of Linton; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and a brother.

Visitation will be on from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
