Janet E. Hudson, 85, a resident of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at the Golden Living Center, Brandywine. She was born Aug. 31, 1925, in Indianapolis to the late Harry E. and Lela (Nuding) Johnson.
Janet was a homemaker, devoted member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a former volunteer at Hancock Regional Hospital. She loved traveling, camping, reading, boating, playing scrabble and spending time with her family.
She is survived by sons, Stephen R. Hudson of Greenfield, David M. (Paula) Hudson of Indianapolis, Mark A. (Debbie) Hudson of Greenfield; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry A. Johnson of Indianapolis and Edward O. Johnson of Cumberland; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Hudson in 1989; and a sister, Mona Moore.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the funeral home, with Rev. Michael Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park, Indianapolis.
