Robert Franklin "Bob" Dozier, 74, of Gwynneville died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, in Morristown. Born Oct. 21, 1936, in Putnam County, he was the son of Joseph and Grace (Clonc) Dozier.

He married the former Carolyn Swartz on Sept. 3, 1966. He had resided in Gwynneville for 30 years. Mr. Dozier retired in 1982 as a mechanic.

He was a member of the Ash Street Wesleyan Church in Tipton, Morristown American Legion and the former Morristown Accelerators Car Club. He was a champion go-karter and built custom trikes. He volunteered at Lincoln Park in Putnamville and the Terre Haute Action Track. He graduated from Carmel High School in 1956. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Dozier of Gwynneville; sons Gregory (Katherine) Dozier of Noblesville and Brian (Raewyn) Dozier of Greenwood; daughters Melody (Jay Mcintosh) Gruenert of Fort Wayne, Roberta (Darrin) Mullinax of Morristown and Carol (Darrell) Davis of Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters Katherine, Helen, Ruby, Geneva and Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Ewell and John. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., Morristown. Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
