William “Bill” Frost
William “Bill” Frost, age 83, of Greenfield, passed away on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. Born on Feb. 18, 1927, in Greenfield, he was the son of William Garrett and Frieda Sarah (Hornung) Frost.
Bill graduated from Greenfield High School in 1944 and married Mary Elizabeth Brookshire in 1947 in Rushville. He worked for several auto dealers in Indiana as a parts manager for over 40 years. He retired in 1989 after working ten years for Dellen Automotive. He was a member of the Antique Auto Club of America, the American Legion of Greenfield, the Masons, and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a WWII veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Frost of Greenfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and sisters, Gladys Millis and Dorothy Logan.
Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Services will follow at 3 p.m. and entombment will take place at Washington Park East in Indianapolis. Reverend Mike Manning will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society.
