Linda K. (Shircliff) Cook, age 67, of Cumberland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born on Oct. 19, 1943, in Indianapolis to Norvil and Ruby (Zook) Shircliff.

Linda graduated from Warren Central High School in 1961 and she was a licensed cosmetologist. She was a service manager for Indiana Bell/AT&T in Indianapolis before retiring in 1996. Linda was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and through them volunteered for many different organizations. She also had a ministry as a professional clown. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Cumberland and the Red Hat Ladies.

Survivors include her son, Michael D. (Belinda) Batts of Cumberland; daughter, Darla K. Hughes of Greenfield; sister-in-law, Marilyn Shircliff of Greenfield; several nieces and nephews; and grandchildren, Chance, Paige, Lauren, and Shelly.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Jack and Mickie Shircliff; and granddaughter, Alexandra Hughes.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
