Brian Joseph Cecil, age 42, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, in Indianapolis. Born on Oct. 23, 1968, in Greenfield, he was the son of Charles Joseph Cecil and Sharon Ann (Massie) Cecil.
Brian worked at Ford as a machinist for 18 years. He loved fishing and boating and was a huge Cubs fan and a great cook. He was known as a practical joker and had a laugh that was contagious. Brian was a former member of the National Guard and had run the mini marathon three times. He also liked to box and was a National Boxing Champion when he was younger. He also loved to travel to Fla.
Surviving him are his children, Kyle and Kyla Cecil; father, Charles Cecil; and mother, Sharon Cecil, all of Indianapolis; grandmother, June Walker of Greenfield; nieces, Cassie and Alyssa; sister, Kippy Cecil of Greenfield; the mother of his children, Cherie Smith Sirosky of Greenfield; three uncles; and a special friend, Don Caldwell.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Cecil; grandfather, Charles Cecil; and his dog and best friend, Bono.
Visitation will take place from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.
